A few years back I had a light bulb moment. And it changed everything!
Have you ever had a genuine light bulb moment?
It’s a wonderful thing.
Here’s how it happened . . . .
At the time. I was desperately trying to get myself healthy and fit again. I was suffering with lower back pain, struggling to lose weight and feeling a bit depressed.
I was trying everything but nothing was working.
I experimented with intermittent fasting. I then decided that running was the answer. Aerobic exercise is great for weight loss, or so I thought. However, when I went running it just caused more back pain.
I then tried yoga for a bit. Quite good, but still in pain and not losing weight.
Maybe it was my core? Let’s strengthen that with sit ups (never do this btw! - I’ll explain why another time). Perhaps swimming is the answer. Let’s try that.
This went on for some time. There were no improvements! Why wasn’t any of this stuff working?
Well, there are actually several reasons why. But one main one. The main one was my light bulb moment. I’ll come back to the others another time.
And here it is. My light bulb moment . . . .
I finally realised that good health and fitness can only be achieved holistically.
Just focusing on one aspect or approach is simply not effective. You must pull together all the pieces of the puzzle. And everyone’s puzzle is different!
This is why I offer a bespoke approach to program design. It’s the only way!
The good news is that with the right approach significant health and fitness improvements are achievable.
You are however probably wondering what the different aspects of good health are? It's actually quite simple. I use a pillars of health system.
