MY STORY Pt 5: Foundation Training

The more I researched back pain the more confused I got!

Did I have anterior pelvic tilt? Was my core weak? Did I have weak and poor recruitment of my glutes? Should I focus on spinal extension or should I encourage posterior pelvic tilt? Were my hip flexors to blame? Why were my hamstrings always tight? Was my diet to blame? Was it stress?

Whilst researching I randomly stumbled upon this article. It first interested me because there was a photo of a professional surfer called Kelly Slater doing some strange looking exercises.

This was the article that sparked my interest in foundation training.

And it changed everything!
